Yoga Instructors

VINYASA YOGA

is a physical practice of yoga that focuses on linking yoga poses, or asanas, together in a fluid, smooth way,” explains Dani Schenone, a registered yoga teacher and holistic wellness specialist at Mindbody. “Think of Vinyasa as rhythmic, repetitive yoga that links breath to movement.

VINYASA FLOW

is an approach to yoga in which you move from one pose directly into the next. There’s a flow to a Vinyasa yoga session, though the specific poses and the pace of the flow vary from one instructor to the next. You may also hear the term Ashtanga yoga used interchangeably with Vinyasa.

VINYSA & YIN

Together, you have Vinyasa Yin Yoga, a powerful pairing. The yin style of long-held passive poses opens the body to more flexibility and energy flow while also encouraging a more contemplative non-reactive quality of mind. The dynamic yang style of vinyasa flow helps strengthen and invigorate the body and mind

YIN YOGA

is slow-paced style of yoga as exercise, incorporating principles of traditional Chinese medicine, with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time than in other styles. Advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more.

HATHA FLOW

A yoga class described as ‘Hatha’ will typically involve a set of physical postures (yoga poses) and breathing techniques. These are typically practised more slowly and with more static posture holds than a Vinyasa flow or Ashtanga class. And indeed, that is how we describe our Hatha yoga classes on EkhartYoga

SUNSET FLOW

A sunset flow is designed to phase out customers who are no longer engaging with your brand. You can use this flow as a last-ditch effort to win back their business, and then delete or suppress anyone who is not responsive.

INTRODUCTION TO ASHTANGA

Ashtanga is a very dynamic and athletic form of hatha yoga, made up of six series or levels, with a fixed order of postures. It is rooted in vinyasa, the flowing movements between postures, with a focus on energy and breath. While it is a very physical practice, it also promotes mental clarity and inner peace.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

ia style of yoga that encourages physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Appropriate for all levels, restorative yoga is practiced at a slow pace, focusing on long holds, stillness, and deep breathing.

POWER VINYASA

Vinyasa yoga — also known as Vinyasa flow — is a type of yoga that strings together different postures in a seamless transition. The focus is on how movements connect together, using breath control to flow from pose to pose.
