The room displays an artistic wooden boat from 1648, tons in weight, features a beautifully carved fierce tiger head, built for the opening ceremony of the new canal between the large river Kali Ciliwung and the small Kali Macan (Tigergracht).


This room depicts items related to Raden Saleh, Raden Adjeng Kasinem and Raden Ahmad. Most of these items that are now displayed in the Ruang Raden Saleh at the The House of Tugu, Old Town Jakarta are from the private collection of Raden Adjeng Kasinem, who was the daughter of Raden Saleh’s younger sister.



In this room, guests can find a few masterpieces from the private collection of the Tugu family by the flamboyant 19th century painter Raden Saleh, famous for his hauntingly beautiful paintings, not just in Indonesia but all over Europe.

In the Borobudur Room, a Dhyani Buddha statue reflects a storied journey. Originally carved near Borobudur Temple and completed in 1957, it was brought to Kota Tua in 2000. Blessed in 2010 with holy water from Thailand, this statue now stands as a tribute to art and devotion.

The Sumba Room showcases an exquisite collection of tribal artworks and artifacts from diverse indigenous ethnic groups across Indonesia, including Borneo, Sulawesi, Sumatra, Papua, Nias, Sumba, Bali, and Lombok. This unique space opens seamlessly to the *Borneo Courtyard*, an open-air garden venue featuring a stage for live performances. At its heart stands a magnificent, multi-ton stone statue of the Rhinoceros Hornbill, a symbol of Borneo’s rich cultural heritage, offering a striking focal point for the courtyard.

The Bureau of Oei Tiong Ham Room has a seating capacity of 50 persons.

The Blue Moon Hall is a spacious multi-functional ballroom adorned with stunning, oversized blue lamps that create a captivating ambiance. Located on the second floor, the hall offers a unique view of a 26.5-meter-long dragon, originally crafted for Jakarta’s Chinatown Cap Go Meh celebration decades ago. The hall opens onto a charming large terrace, providing breathtaking views of Jakarta’s Old Town, where colonial-era buildings line the historic Kali Besar River.




This elegant room is exclusively available for guests to have a private meeting, to enjoy cocktail hour or afternoon tea and coffee while soaking in the grand atmosphere from the 19th century. This room has been created to commemorate the life of the King of Sugar of Asia, also often referred to as the Rockefeller of Asia—Oei Tiong Ham.

In dedication to the memory of the original Societeit de Harmonie or Gedung Harmoni in Rijswijk, Batavia (now the corner of Jalan Veteran and Jalan Majapahit). This hall is now recreated at the, to bring out once again the glorious days of the social club, and various items that used to be displayed in the original de Harmonie.
De Harmonie Hall has a seating capacity of 100 persons.

Upon entering the gate of Gedong Goelo, we find ourselves in the Kapitan Hall – dedicated to the Chinese Kapitan Nie Hoe Kong who had occupied not only this house but a stretch of real estate from Jalan Roa Malaka Selatan up to Kalibesar Barat, where this lobby currently stands.
Kapitan Nie Hoe Kong was the leader of the Chinese Council who was very popular during his term.
In this area, one can find a few memorabilia that is now displayed to commemorate the memory of the Captain.
